What is Synthetic Enamel?
Synthetic enamel is a type of paint that does not dissolve in water. Its action forms a layer that
protects the surface on which it was applied. In other words, this makes the place more
resistant to daily handling and reduces natural wear and tear.
Synthetic enamel is ideal for surfaces that need cleaning frequently, as they facilitate this
process. In addition, the synthetic enamel finish gives a filmy appearance over the surface to
which it is applied.
Therefore, the recommendation is that it be used on wood, metal, iron or steel. On the other
hand, it is not the most suitable paint for masonry or plaster walls.
Furthermore, synthetic enamel is a type of paint with a glossy finish (but there are already
products with a satin and matte finish). It is strong, durable and is generally used to paint
indoor and outdoor environments on wood and metal surfaces in general.
Drying time and smell
Synthetic enamel can take up to 10 hours to dry completely and starts to dry from the inside
out. It has a stronger odor and can be cleaned with thinners. Therefore, when using this type
of paint indoors, make sure the area is well ventilated because of its stronger smell.
